The SSCL iCentre Wellness collection highlights a range of resources for you to access including: Fiction Non Fiction Magazines Pamphlet material Self-help books ebooks Audiobooks If there is something you are specifically looking for, touch base with one of our staff and they will be able to assist you.
Over time we will add new reading lists accessible from our Oliver Library catalogue (log in through the student portal with your DoE details.) Reading Lists highlight ebooks, audiobooks and fiction and non-fiction from the Library's Collection. Books can be reserved and collected from the iCentre. In our Wellness collection guides - reading lists are made accessible through a QR code.
RECOMMENDED ON EBOOK: Search the Wheelers Fiction collection directly or check out the recommended titles in each guide. Click on each book to find out a little more about the plot and the characters, then head to our Wheelers site to borrow the ebook. Log in with your DoE school email and password.
Listen:
RECOMMENDED ON AUDIOBOOK: As with ebooks, Wheelers has a great selection for you to listen to. You can search the Wheelers catalogue for audiobooks only by checking the 'audiobooks' filter. Our recommended audiobooks are displayed on each guide page and updated regularly. Click on each title for a short description of the storyline. Use your school email and password to login to the SSCL Wheelers collection.
Watch:
CLICKVIEW PLAYLIST: Our ClickView subscription gives members of the school access to a range of video and movies. Playlists are created for each guide. As with our other subscriptions, access is via your students or teacher DoE login details. (Note: Permission may need to be requested to view a movie that has a restricted rating). Other recommendation for your home streaming service or free to air television or video may also appear on a guide.
Podcasts
Podcasts are a great way to engage with wellness issues. A selection is featured in each guide and there is a link provided to the Apple podcast service to start listening, or look for the title on your preferred Podcast provider. Hover over each title for a summary of the content of each Podcast series. If you find a Podcast on an issue that's been helpful to you or a friend, please recommend it to Library staff and we will share it on the Guide.
TED talks
Sometimes, a TED Talk is just what you need to get your head around an issue. In each guide, if there are pertinent TED Talks available, a link is shared.
