As we cannot borrow or browse our physical library just yet, the iCentre has devised a way that you can immerse yourself in your favourite genre until we can. Each week during Term 2 we will feature a different fiction genre – recommending great reading (ebooks), listening (audiobooks and podcasts), watching (series and film) and play (apps and links to activities and online pages of interest). We are kicking off with Crime Week. Head over to our Crime and Mystery genre page to see what’s available for you right now. There's lots of different media withwhich to interact. We’d love you to connect with us through our Instagram page – nominate your favourite crime books, recommend one we purchase for the iCentre, talk about the best crime tv you’ve been watching or share your favourite podcast. Our Instagram page is @sscl_icentre and hastag us with #ssclvirtuallibrary #ssclcrimeweek #genreweek #ssclvirtuallibrary. Each day next week on Istagram our site will feature a recommendation in the Crime Genre from us – so to make sure you don’t miss out – follow us @sscl_icentre. Leichhardt Guides: New Leichhardt Guides added with week include:
Podcast Studio Update: I’ve been playing around with our equipment this week and I am really excited that we will be able to set this up in the iCentre very soon. If you have ideas about how you’d like to work with some friends and create a Podcast or a Podcast series, email me or drop in and see a Teacher Librarian when you are in school. Its awesome equipment with lots of bells and whistles and you’ll be guaranteed of producing something really professional. Check out our Podcast Studio page for more information.
